Chef Scott King and brewer Doug Murr from A1A Ale Works will present a five-course dinner menu paired with a selection of outstanding craft beers on Friday, September 23, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. at A1A Ale Works, 1 King Street in St. Augustine, Florida. The dinner is part of the St. Augustine Beer Safari Weekend Tour sponsored by Bon Beer Voyage, a specialty tour company created by a Florida couple for craft beer enthusiasts.

“The dinner was really a collaboration of ideas from King and Murr to show off how great food and great beer can come together to create tastes that are even better than when they are enjoyed separately,” said Mike Arra, beer guide for Bon Beer Voyage. “If you know your lambic from your lager, and your dubbel from your triple, or even if you don’t, then you won't want to miss this ‘brewnique’ dining event.”

The evening’s menu will feature fresh shrimp in a beer batter, beer cheese soup, Portobello mushroom sliders, braised short ribs served with homemade grits and a stout beer ice cream float. A limited number of seats at this dinner are available for $55 per person for those who are not participating in the St. Augustine Beer Safari Weekend Tour. The price includes dinner, beer pairings, tax and gratuity.
